Update on pest activity at Wellesbourne

We have trapped a few more bean seed flies. Totals from 3 yellow water traps:

18 Feb 12

25 Feb 7

No carrot flies or cabbage root flies have been trapped.

We've also been counting the aphids on our overwintering carrots:

10 January (first sowing in 2019) 0.6 per plant

31 January (first sowing) 0.7 per plant

26 February (second sowing in 2019) 14.3 per plant

All of these are wingless.
