Pest update from Wellesbourne
Today's trap captures were (over 3 days):
- 98 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now
In the three yellow water traps:
- 21 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
- 24 bean seed fly
- 358 pollen beetle
- 602 flea beetle
We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 23 (15 plants).
No moths in the pheromone traps (2 per species).

- 102 (old carrots) and 115 (new carrots) carrot fly - 3 traps per crop
In the three yellow water traps:
- 4 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
- 29 bean seed fly
- 38 pollen beetle
- 7 flea beetle
We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 21 (15 plants).
One turnip moth (cutworm) in the pheromone traps (2 per species).

- 48 (old carrots) and 55 (new carrots) carrot fly - 3 traps per crop
In the three yellow water traps:
- 16 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
- 15 bean seed fly
- 89 pollen beetle
- 1 cabbage stem weevil
- 34 flea beetle
We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 28 (15 plants).
No moths in the pheromone traps.
