Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between 15th and 19th June our 3 yellow water traps captured:

• Cabbage root flies - 16 male and 5 female
• Bean seed flies - 28
• Pollen beetles - 797
• Flea beetles - 13
• Cabbage stem weevil - 3
• Cabbage seed weevil - 0
• Cabbage stem flea beetle - 0

We caught 7 carrot flies on 3 sticky traps in spring-sown carrots.

There were 3 diamond-back moths, no silver Y moths, no cabbage moths and 1 turnip moth in our traps (2 traps per pest).

There were 0 cabbage root fly eggs around our 15 brassica plants.
