Willow–carrot aphid update from Wellesbourne

The table below shows the total number of willow-carrot aphids on 3 x 0.5 m lengths of row of carrot plants. Numbers of all stages have decreased since last week.

Update from Wellesbourne

Today we found:

  • 4 carrot flies (3 traps)
  • 5 turnip moths (2 traps)
  • 1 diamond-back moth (2 traps)
  • 226 cabbage root fly eggs (15 plants) - the second generation is definitely underway now!
  • 58 bean seed flies (3 traps)
  • 143 pollen beetles (3 traps)
  • 2 flea beetles (3 traps)
