Pest update from Wellesbourne

When the water traps were checked at Wellesbourne today there were:

  • 78 male and 4 femaie cabbage root flies
  • 129 bean seed flies
  • 8 flea beetles
  • 136 pollen beetles
  • 18 cabbage stem weevils
  • 2 cabbage stem flea beetles
  • 4 cabbage seed weevils

There were 178 carrot flies on the sticky traps.

97 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 26 and 30 April (around 15 plants).

No moths were captured in our pheromone traps (diamond-back moth, silver Y moth, turnip moth, cabbage moth).
