Pest update from Wellesbourne
When the water traps in the swede plot were checked on Friday (27th) there were:
- 127 male and 101 female cabbage root flies
- 80 bean seed flies
- 5 flea beetles
- 0 pollen beetles
- 2 cabbage stem weevils
- 3 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 2 small white butterflies
There were 48 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps.
29 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 24th and 27th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, no turnip moths, no silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.
AHDB Aphid News
The latest edition of AHDB Aphid Newshas been published.
The total numbers of pest aphids captured in the suction traps during the week ending 22 September are as follows: peach-potato aphid (38), potato aphid (0), willow-carrot aphid (47 - with 30 at Dundee), cabbage aphid (14), currant-lettuce aphid (0), pea aphid (19) and black bean aphid (42).

When the water traps in the swede plot were checked on Tuesday (24th) there were:
- 328 male and 101 female cabbage root flies
- 55 bean seed flies
- 12 flea beetles
- 2 pollen beetles
- 0 cabbage stem weevils
- 5 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 2 small white butterflies
There were 83 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
46 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 20th and 24th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, 1 turnip moth, no silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.

When the water traps in the swede plot were checked on Friday (20th) there were:
- 114 male and 36 female cabbage root flies
- 47 bean seed flies
- 28 flea beetles
- 0 pollen beetles
- 2 cabbage stem weevils
- 25 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 2 small white butterflies
There were 63 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
59 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 17th and 20th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, no turnip moths, no silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.

The total numbers of pest aphids captured in the suction traps during the week ending 15 September are as follows: peach-potato aphid (5), potato aphid (1), willow-carrot aphid (19 - with 17 at Dundee), cabbage aphid (4), currant-lettuce aphid (0), pea aphid (12) and black bean aphid (18).

- 118 male and 50 female cabbage root flies
- 44 bean seed flies
- 20 flea beetles
- 6 pollen beetles
- 2 cabbage stem weevils
- 28 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 2 small white butterflies
There were 70 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
82 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 13th and 17th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, 2 turnip moths, no silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.

Pest update from Wellesbourne
When the water traps in the swede plot were checked on Friday (13th) there were:
- 207 male and 87 female cabbage root flies
- 35 bean seed flies
- 18 flea beetles
- 3 pollen beetles
- 0 cabbage stem weevils
- 0 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 1 small white butterfly
There were 58 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
78 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 10th and 13th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, no turnip moths, 2 silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.

The latest edition of AHDBAphid News has been published.
The numbers of some species captured in suction traps have increased a bit since last week: peach-potato aphid (8), potato aphid (0), willow-carrot aphid (22 - at Dundee), cabbage aphid (1), currant-lettuce aphid (1), pea aphid (2) and black bean aphid (9) were captured in suction traps during the week ending 8th September.

When the water traps in the swede plot were checked yesterday (10th) there were:
- 700 male and 223 female cabbage root flies
- 50 bean seed flies
- 7 flea beetles
- 7 pollen beetles
- 4 cabbage stem weevils
- 10 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 2 small white butterflies
There were 122 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
163 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 6th and 10th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, 3 turnip moths, 1 silver Y moth and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.

When the water traps in the swede plot were checked today there were:
- 528 male and 98 female cabbage root flies
- 25 bean seed flies
- 8 flea beetles
- 6 pollen beetles
- 0 cabbage stem weevils
- 1 cabbage stem flea beetles
- 0 cabbage seed weevils
- 1 small white butterfly
There were 50 carrot flies on the 3 sticky traps in the new plot for 2019.
166 cabbage root fly eggs were laid between 3rd and 6th September (around 15 plants).
No diamond-back moths, 2 turnip moths, no silver Y moths and no cabbage moths were captured in pheromone traps. There are 2 traps for each species.
