Pest update from Wellesbourne

Today's trap captures were (over 4 days):

  • 71 carrot fly - 3 traps

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 47 male and 22 female cabbage root fly
  • 11 bean seed fly
  • 26 pollen beetle
  • 207 flea beetle
  • 16 cabbage stem weevil
  • 1 cabbage seed weevil

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 8 (15 plants).

Two turnip moths in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

  • 153 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 28 male and 9 female cabbage root fly
  • 29 bean seed fly
  • 30 pollen beetle
  • 346 flea beetle
  • 8 cabbage stem weevil
  • 1 cabbage seed weevil

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 0 (15 (new) plants).

Three turnip moths in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 16 bean seed fly
  • 36 pollen beetle
  • 203 flea beetle
  • 11 cabbage stem weevil

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 2 (15 (new) plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).
