Before you take off, you have to pack all your stuff and decide what to bring with you. Investigate what you should take and learn something about airport:
1.What should be in your luggage: Food? (What you can bring and what you can not, check the permissions from customs ) What kind of electrical appliance you need take (laptop? Camera? Hair dryer? Rice-maker?) And is the plug the same with China? Clothes? Check the local weather and decide which clothes you need to take with you and which ones you can mail them later. Other stuff (Books? Towel?)
2.You need to be aware that the reasons of what you should bring: e.g. stuff you can not get in England or it has huge difference in price between China and England. Find tips from those who are already in England, probably in Warwick by blogs.
3.What you should not put in your luggage: find related regulations in airport website and make sure that you will not do anything against law whether at home or abroad.
4.Take a plane: Where and when should you check in for your flight ticket? What if you are asked to open your luggage cases? What things are not permitted to bring to a plane according to different airplane company? Any tips for long distance flight?
5.Shopping: What can you buy in an airport duty free? Could those commodities bring into a plane directly? Can you shop on a plane? If you go back how can you get drawback before leaving?

It seems that those students stop blogging for a long time. The reasons are various: some of them are too busy with their exams, visa or flight ticket booking; some of them are too excited of the offers while some of them lost interest because they didn’t get the offer. Some of they need to enjoy the last summer in China and some of them, can’t express, just don’t like this learning approaching.
And I’ve made two significant mistakes: 1. I didn’t realize that the web speed will seriously influence their patience. 2. The blog is not the only way they can get in tough with me since we can easily talk online by msn or e-mail in CHINESE!!
What a fool I’ve been…......and so depressed about the data collecting.
*When you study in a new place, where, who and how you can get help with any academic problems will be very important. Try to explore some information before you go to Warwick:
1.Library: What you can do in library? How many books can you get and how long can you keep them? How to renew or request a book? What kind of resources you can find in library? Can you bring food and drinks in some place? Does Coventry has any library and how do get there?
2.Teachers: What can a personal tutor do and what kind of questions you can ask her/him? How can you get contact with a lecture by e-mail or phone? Do teachers have blogs and can you get any help from that?
3.Colleagues: Can you get in touch with any colleagues with the same major as you? And what advice can you get from them? (assignment? Module selection? Etc.) Do they have blogs and what can you learn from that?
4.Study opportunities out of class: Any conference? Any cooperated project with people from other university? Any speech in city center? How can you find the information about all those opportunities?

It was still so disappointed that those kids didn’t update their blogs. Ok, some of them did, and I’m happy for that, but most of them did not =(
I tried to think why they are not interested, too busy? too excited? no mood? anyway, it is not compulsory. yeah, maybe I’ve got wrong idea for my dissertation.
made myself some dishes to pacify a little bit…......poor me!

Hey everybody, I don’t know how many of you still blog here, but I do see something update! that’s exciting! And I know you are all very busy with your new journey oversea. Just let me know if you need anyhelp!
here is task 3…........actually I’m not a big fan of task. So why don’t we just call it a discussion? It is about your accommodation. I believe most of you have applied for it already, and how many of you got the offer? And for those who’s attending the pre-sessional course, did you apply for the 5 weeks accommodation already? Since that’s your own responsiblity to manage your life for now on!
I’d like you to discuss about the accommodation in Wariwick When you study in a totally strange place, the first thing you need to find out may be the information about your accommodation. Investigate all this information ask for help on your blogs and keep a note during the procedure. When write the final report(at least 300 words), you should make certain:
1.Where will you live? (On or off campus? If you need to apply for your dormitory, how and when? What facilities will be offered, in kitchen? In bathroom? In bedroom? ) which accommodation do you prefer?
Why do you choose this one? price?facilities?location?
where did you investigate and apply for your residence? online? asking previous students?
2.The accommodation fee. (When and how should you pay it, any deposit? What kind of contract will you take? Do you need pay any tax if living off campus? What should you do if you want change your room or you have some special needs such as single sex or no smoking?)
3.Diet: What kind of food English people usually have? The difference between English and Chinese associated with cultures? What kind of food you can not or very difficult find in England?
4.Eating in Warwick: Where can you find nice food in or around Warwick? Where can you refill your fridge? Where can you buy Chinese food and seasoning?
5.Add any other findings when you are doing this investigation and share with your friends.
You can get some help by following website

I've checked all blogs , some surprise though, Mr. Zhu Guanqian has found something about game society and another student here gave very nice advice of " Assassin's Guild ". It reminds me of my college life. We were so crazy about this game when i was a freshman. And hundreds of people found a date through this game.......^^ wish I could play it again.
I don't know why i've written the whole second task and it's gone!!! I didn't find that till today came back from Swizz land!
and now I'd like say little bit about the second task since i'm coming to lundon tomorrow. It's very easy and funny.
I'd like you to report one blog from Unicersity of Warwick which could not be a friend or classmate you have already known now. You just need to go to the page of warwickblog http://blogs.warwick.ac.uk/ find a blog or a journal you are interested in and report:
1. What does it write about?
2. Why you find it interesting?
3. Did you leave any comment?
4. What would you say on the same topic?
guys, sorry that I didn't notice the task has not been set up and I know you are very busy at this moment. but get yourself some time to enjoy the blog and know more about your new shcoolmates!

Hi everybody, it's time for your first task. Don¡¯t worry, it¡¯s simple and concerning your interests. What you need to do is following the guide below and find out what you like and give us a little report. You don¡¯t have to write a formal essay but it would be great if you can answer those question not only readable but also creative. If you have any questions, just leave comments on my blog or discuss with your friends!
|Week1||Societies in Warwick||People have different interests in their college life; you and your friends must have your own. Some of you like soccer, some of you love acting and I¡¯m sure many of you like music or computer games. Here is a link of Student Union in Warwick http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/portal/societies/soclist/ and this is a list of societies in Warwick. Try to find out at least two you are interested and answer following questions on your blogs. 1. What do you like to do in your spare time? Have you gathered with a group people who have similar interests, and shared your feeling or ideas? 2. Have you joined any society in Renmin University? What was it and what activities did you do in that society. Are you in charge of any department of that society? What do you like and dislike in your society and why? 3. Pick up at least two societies you are interested in. Visit their website and try to find out: What they are doing? How much you need to pay for joining it? What privilege you can get by being a member? Find at least one picture you like and put up on your blogs. 4. If there is nothing you need and you do have new ideas, just try to set up a new society here http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/portal/societies/newsoc/ it could be about anything even a friend group from Renmin. Introduce your society and encourage your friends join in it! 5. Is there any difference between societies in Chinese and English university? (The system, the size, the activity, the vote and the way of propaganda? etc) 6. Check out what other people are doing with this task, leave any comments or questions to share your opinions.|

my 1st trip, my h4. *expectations *
i had a dream that it would end like this
no destiny, no destination
you hit the ground and then it stops
hour after hour,hour after hour
i miss my hometown,it’s nothing special
call my parents let them know i’ve arrived
my primary instinct is to protect the child
Send the postcard from the airport.
the very first time i heard this song is in a damn summer in hangzhou where the heat killed ppl and i had no idea what should i do next step, find a job ? get married? i’ve been wasting my life for 22years without any reward. fine ,im not a good student ,not really .and to be honest ,i prefer chemist or a direct rather than an English teacher. Worsely , i spent so much time in stuff has nothing to do with English ,such as SF ,sports, photography or PC games…....and i never got anything scholarship since high school,my parents must be disappointed ,hehe.at that time ,i was thinking ,am i really screwing up my life? where is the first dream i had ,where is the ppl who really care about me and where is the expectations i’d got when i was young.
anyway ,i don’t wanna talk about how i cheer up and finally got the direction of my way. just wanna say ,im here ,at the moment ,and i kno what’s gonna be most important now.so what i expect ,is to get the MA and much more crucial , to learn how to study aboard . i mean ,the life here ,is soooo different from China ,and i have to do everything myself without the hope of fluking. that’s would be great helpful to apply the PHD in U.S.A which is the priority thing of my life in the coming 1 or 2 years .So ,i have to take the TEFOL and GRE test and get great marks in my MA as well as get competitive reference letter. what im worry about at moment ,is how to pass these two exam during the busy year i have to work hard in my own courses.
anyway ,it’s not the end of the life whatever i’ve done b4 or whoever i’ve hurt. just wanna get through all of this ,and have my new life somewhere. i don’t need the sunshine ,so pls pay me more warm.
