Pest update from Wellesbourne

These are the numbers of insects captured between 14th and 17th July.

Yellow water traps (3)

• 20 male and 7 female cabbage root fly
• 26 bean seed fly
• 51 flea beetle
• 226 pollen beetles
• 12 cabbage stem weevil
• 1 cabbage seed weevil
• 3 cabbage stem flea beetle
• 3 small white butterfy

Sticky traps for carrot fly (3)

• 37 carrot fly

Pheromone traps - 2 per species

• Diamond-back moth 2
• Silver Y moth 2
• Turnip moth (cutworm) 0

5 cabbage root fly eggs on 15 cauliflower plants.
