AHDB Aphid News

The latest edition of AHDB Aphid News is available.

  • The peach–potato aphid was caught at 10 suction trap (ST) sites this week, but with numbers increasing at only five. The highest number recorded was from Broom’s Barn (67).
  • The potato aphid was caught at six sites in single figures this bulletin week, increasing in number at four.
  • The cabbage aphid was caught from 11 ST sites in England this week, increasing at 10. There was a hotspot at Starcross (46).
  • No currant-lettuce aphids were recorded from the ST this week.
  • The willow ̶carrot aphid was caught at 11 ST sites this week, with numbers increasing across England. The highest number found was at York (29) and Broom’s Barn (25).
  • The pea aphid was recorded from, and increasing in number at, 11 ST sites this week. The highest number caught was from Rothamsted (41).
  • The black bean aphid was caught at eight ST sites this week and increasing in number at seven across England.
