Pest update from Wellesbourne

Today's trap captures were (over 4 days):

  • 191 (old carrots) and 35 (new carrots) carrot fly - 3 traps per crop

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 3 male and 4 female cabbage root fly
  • 90 bean seed fly
  • 357 pollen beetle
  • 21 cabbage stem weevil
  • 4 flea beetle
  • 1 cabbage stem flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 33 (15 plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps.

Pest update from Wellesbourne

Today's trap captures were (over 3 days):

  • 413 carrot fly

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 4 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
  • 50 bean seed fly
  • 84 pollen beetle
  • 5 cabbage stem weevil
  • 3 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 11 (15 plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps.

  • 707 carrot fly

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 3 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
  • 16 bean seed fly
  • 187 pollen beetle
  • 22 cabbage stem weevil
  • 5 flea beetle
  • 1 cabbage stem flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 2 (15 plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps.

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 7 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
  • 23 bean seed fly
  • 56 pollen beetle
  • 15 cabbage stem weevil
  • 5 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there was 1 (15 plants).

I diamondback moth (2 pheromone traps).

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 2 (15 plants).

No moths in pheromone traps.

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 5 male and 2 female cabbage root fly
  • 10 bean seed fly
  • 92 pollen beetle
  • 63 cabbage stem weevil
  • 40 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs but there were none.

Also 1 diamondback moth (2 traps).

We have started sampling for cabbage root fly eggs but there were none.
