Pest update from Wellesbourne

Today's trap captures were (over 4 days):

  • 32 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 1 male cabbage root fly
  • 13 bean seed fly
  • 461 pollen beetle
  • 153 flea beetle
  • 119 cabbage stem weevil
  • 9 cabbage seed weevil

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 3 (15 plants).

1 turnip moth in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

Friday's trap captures were (over 3 days):

  • 49 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • No cabbage root fly
  • 2 bean seed fly
  • 195 pollen beetle
  • 66 flea beetle
  • 16 cabbage stem weevil

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 5 (15 plants).

4 diamondback moth, 1 silver Y moth and 1 turnip moth in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

Pest update from Wellesbourne

Today's trap captures were (over 4 days):

  • 81 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 1 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 16 bean seed fly
  • 526 pollen beetle
  • 196 flea beetle
  • 49 cabbage stem weevil
  • 11 cabbage seed weevil
  • 1 cabbage stem flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 19 (15 plants).

5 diamondback moth in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

  • 100 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 16 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 14 bean seed fly
  • 287 pollen beetle
  • 296 flea beetle
  • 28 cabbage stem weevil
  • 4 cabbage seed weevil
  • 1 cabbage stem flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 42 (15 plants).

1 turnip moth and 3 diamondback moth in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 12 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
  • 6 bean seed fly
  • 414 pollen beetle
  • 546 flea beetle
  • 47 cabbage stem weevil
  • 6 cabbage seed weevil
  • 7 cabbage stem flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 83 (15 plants).

4 turnip moth and 1 silver Y moth in the pheromone traps (2 traps per species).

  • 98 carrot fly - 3 traps and only sampling in the new carrots now

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 21 male and 0 female cabbage root fly
  • 24 bean seed fly
  • 358 pollen beetle
  • 602 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 23 (15 plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps (2 per species).

  • 102 (old carrots) and 115 (new carrots) carrot fly - 3 traps per crop

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 4 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 29 bean seed fly
  • 38 pollen beetle
  • 7 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 21 (15 plants).

One turnip moth (cutworm) in the pheromone traps (2 per species).

Yesterday's trap captures were (over 3 days):

  • 48 (old carrots) and 55 (new carrots) carrot fly - 3 traps per crop

In the three yellow water traps:

  • 16 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 15 bean seed fly
  • 89 pollen beetle
  • 1 cabbage stem weevil
  • 34 flea beetle

We are sampling for cabbage root fly eggs and there were 28 (15 plants).

No moths in the pheromone traps.
