Pest update Wellesbourne
Between Tuesday (17th) and Friday (20th) we found:
- 24 carrot flies on traps in this year's carrots (3 traps)
In the 3 water traps in the 'new' cauliflower plot:
- 8 male and 26 female cabbage root flies
- 61 bean seed flies
- 120 pollen beetles
- 74 flea beetles
We collected a total of 69 cabbage root fly eggs from around 15 cauliflower plants (planted 15 April).
There were no diamond-back or silvery Y moths but 5 turnip moths (2 traps).
On 18th June there were 4 winged, 10 wingless and 4 parasitised willow-carrot aphids on 3 x 0.5 m lengths of carrot row.
