Pest update Wellesbourne
On 31 October we found:
- 6 carrot flies (3 traps)
- 1 turnip moth (2 traps)
We have recently checked some of our untreated guard plots for carrot fly damage and approximately 90% of roots had suffered some damage. So even though the second generation of carrot fly appeared to have been 'disrupted' by the warm weather, egg-laying and larval survival were 'unaffected'.
