Pest upate from Wellesbourne

These are the numbers of insects captured between 29th May and 2nd June. Loads of aphids in and on the traps too!

Yellow water traps (3)

  • 12 male and 1 female cabbage root fly
  • 10 bean seed fly
  • 10 flea beetles
  • 624 pollen beetles
  • 47 cabbage stem weevil
  • 1 cabbage seed weevil
  • 2 cabbage stem flea beetle

Sticky traps for carrot fly (3)

  • 45 carrot flies

Pheromone traps - 2 per species

  • Diamond-back moth 2
  • Silver Y moth 0
  • Turnip moth (cutworm) 7

0 cabbage root fly eggs on 15 cauliflower plants.
