Rothamsted Suction Trap counts

The Bulletin for aphids captured between 17 and 23 June was released yesterday:


  • Aphis fabae (black-bean aphid) was captured at 4 sites towards the south
  • Cabbage aphid was captured at only one site - Writtle
  • Potato aphid was captured at 12 sites
  • Peach-potato aphid was captured at 7 sites
  • Currant-lettuce aphid was captured at Ayr and Wellesbourne
  • Willow-carrot aphid was captured at 13 sites - and in relatively high numbers at several sites in the 'middle' of the country
