Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between 21st and 25th September our 3 yellow water traps captured:

• Cabbage root flies - 54 male and 23 female
• Bean seed flies - 166
• Pollen beetles - 10
• Flea beetles - 35
• Cabbage stem weevil - 1
• Cabbage seed weevil - 0
• Cabbage stem flea beetle - 2

We caught 1 carrot fly on 3 sticky traps in our second sowing of carrots.

There were no diamond-back moths, no silver Y moths, no cabbage moths and 1 turnip moth in our traps (2 traps per pest).

There were 4 cabbage root fly eggs around our 15 brassica plants.
