Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between Friday and today we caught:

On 3 sticky traps:

• 114 carrot flies

In 3 water traps in a plot of swedes and 1 trap near oil seed rape.

• 11 male cabbage root flies and 24 females
• 34 bean seed flies
• 217 pollen beetles
• 70 flea beetles
• 113 cabbage stem weevils
• 13 cabbage stem flea beetles

We also recovered 25 cabbage root fly eggs from the soil around 15 cauliflower plants (new plants).

We caught 7 diamond-back moths in our pheromone traps.
