Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between Friday and today we caught:

On 3 sticky traps:

• 18 carrot flies

In 3 water traps in a plot of swedes and 1 trap near oil seed rape.

• 16 male cabbage root flies and 95 females
• 75 bean seed flies
• 479 pollen beetles
• 24 flea beetles
• 19 cabbage stem weevils
• 1 cabbage seed weevil
• 12 cabbage stem flea beetles

We also recovered 114 cabbage root fly eggs from the soil around 15 cauliflower plants (new plants).

We caught 3 diamond-back moths and 1 turnip moth (2 traps) in our pheromone traps.
