Updated day–degree graph

The graph below confirms what we all know - that it continues to be very cold. Spencer Collins (new HDC PhD studentship on cabbage whitefly http://www.hdc.org.uk/project/studentship-biology-cabbage-whitefly-aleyrodes-proletella-0) is following infestations of cabbage whitefly on overwintered brassicas. The overwintering adults he is following laid eggs some time ago and he is now watching them to see whether the eggs will be viable following the prolonged period of cold.
