Pest update from Wellesbourne

These are the numbers of insects captured between 2nd and 5th June.

Yellow water traps (3)

• 4 male and 2 female cabbage root fly
• 8 bean seed fly
• 1 flea beetle
• 257 pollen beetles
• 21 cabbage stem weevil
• 8 cabbage seed weevil
• 1 cabbage stem flea beetle

Sticky traps for carrot fly (3)

• 15 carrot flies

Pheromone traps - 2 per species

• Diamond-back moth 0
• Silver Y moth 0
• Turnip moth (cutworm) 5

6 cabbage root fly eggs on 15 cauliflower plants.
