Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between Friday (30th) and Tuesday (3rd) we captured:

  • 178 carrot flies on traps in this year's crop of carrots (3 traps)

We collected a total of 54 cabbage root fly eggs from around 15 cauliflower plants (planted 15 April). The 3 water traps caught:

  • 1 male and 43 female cabbage root flies
  • 94 bean seed flies
  • 59 pollen beetle
  • 315 flea beetles
  • 14 cabbage stem weevil

There were no diamond-back moths or silver Y moths and 1 turnip moth (cutworm) (2 pheromone traps per species).
