Pest update from Wellesbourne

Between 28th September and 2nd October our 3 yellow water traps captured:

• Cabbage root flies - 7 male and 0 female
• Bean seed flies - 31
• Pollen beetles - 3
• Flea beetles - 30
• Cabbage stem weevil - 1
• Cabbage seed weevil - 0
• Cabbage stem flea beetle - 4

We caught no carrot flies on 3 sticky traps in our second sowing of carrots.

There were no diamond-back moths, no silver Y moths, no cabbage moths and no turnip moths in our pheromone traps (2 traps per pest).

There were 0 cabbage root fly eggs around our 15 brassica plants.
