Understanding Microbial Communities

I recently visited the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences to attend a programme called “Understanding Microbial Communities; Functions, Structure and Dynamics.” The purpose of the programme was to establish and strengthen the interactive community of theorists and experimentalists. I enjoyed many really inspirational presentations and talking with incredibly smart people!

Here is the main message I wanted to tell. You can watch all (almost) the talks in the programme through the internet!! Yes, many fascinating talks on microbial communities from different perspectives are available for you to watch! The following is how to reach the videos.

  1. Go to the page for “Understanding Microbial Communities (UMC) workshops”.
  2. Select the workshop that interests you.
  3. Click “Seminars” in the left column.
  4. Click the title you want to watch.
  5. Enjoy!

The Asally Lab

The 15th of September 2014, the Asally lab was launched in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Warwick. The campus is in a beautiful green suburb. Wishing the lab will grow up like a camphor tree...
