AHDB Aphid News

The latest edition of AHDB Aphid News is available.

  • The peach–potato aphid was caught at eleven ST (sucton trap) sites, increasing at eight. The highest number was recorded from Broom’s Barn (56).
  • The potato aphid was caught at six ST sites in single figures, increasing in number at Dundee, Wye and Starcross.
  • The cabbage aphid was caught from seven ST sites, increasing at four.
  • A single currant-lettuce aphid was recorded from Silwood Park.
  • The willow ̶carrot aphid was caught at all ST sites apart from Newcastle, with numbers generally down and only increasing at York, Wellesbourne and Starcross.
  • The pea aphid was caught in single figures at ten ST sites and increasing at eight.
  • The black bean aphid was caught at nine sites including a hotspot at Starcross.
