on yesterday's class, teacher did a serious test to prove that make decisions on conciouse may lead us to make the wrong one.
the example impresed me most is that list the last three no. of our phone number and add one in the front. and compared it with the Thai-ji Temple finished date. AND also write down the time you think the Thai-ji Temple finishes.
the teacher said the member you guess of Thai-ji Temple finished data must be very close to your telephone No.
the magic thing is that my answer prove teachers saying.
this strategy is widly used in the market.
in shanghai, bargaining is very popular.
everyone like bargaining with shop owner.
However, according to my personal opinion, the bargaining price is always very close to the price provided by supplier.
for example, if i want to buy a dress, the shop owner said "15 pounds". so i will not bargin a lot. but the real thing is maybe the purchase price of this dress is only "5 pounds". the shop owner raise the price at frist on purpose.
another example i met in the real life will show in the following.
one time i went to shopping in Japan, i entered into a shop i saw lot of products are on sell. The original price and now price are all shown on the product description. I noticed it has a big discount. so i bought lots of things without hesitate?? but when i entered into next shop, it has more discount than the first one.
i buy so many things in the first shop is because it shown original price of the product. It let me think there are lots of discount and it is very cheap now. so i never considered that the products in other shops may cheaper than it.
in the futher
if i am a consumer, i will try to not let my consiouce to influence my buying decisions
if i am a supplier, i will use this strategy as my market strategy.
