some thinkings on the difference between the Japanese management training and Chinese one

Supposing there is a company. It has about 950 workers and 50 managers. One day, if 50 managers are all fired, the businesses of the company will not be influenced in a short time. But if half of the workers fired, it must have lots of influenced on the company. I think the reasons of it maybe the managers only know the theories about leadership, they do not know what exactly happened in the factories.

Due to the mother is the leader of Human resource office, I know the management training in China is all about how to manage people, et, al. The training courses seldom mansion about practical work.

The Japanese companies do a different way in the management training. One of my friends is employed by DAIKIN who producing air-condition as an employee in the Human resource department. He told me that his training not only includes learning the roles of the company and management theories, but also learning how to make/ repair an air- condition, He needs to be trained about 1 year before starting working.

In my opinion, the Japanese company do so is good. Only if the managers know the actural work of the workers, the needs of the workers can be understood easily. Rely on that the managers can create an appropriate plan to motivate workers and manage them.

However, train a manger for 1 year must cost the company a lot. Thus is it worth to do so?
