Ode to Spaghetti
Chop-chop onion
Cut-cut mushroom
Dice-dice tomato
Slice-slice pepper
All that goes in a pot
With heated-melted butter
In the mean time, however,
While the busy pot
Sizzles-sizzles and
Grizzles-grizzles
Boil-boil spaghetti
And stir-stir the mixture
Sprinkle-sprinkle Oxo
The beefy-beefy kind
Drizzle-drizzle herbs
Of the squashed-mashed type
Pour, o pour some Dolmio
Over the fancy mix
Let it puff and fluff
And add some salt and leaves
Marry-marry spaghetti
With the pretty-pretty mishmash
And enjoy the tasty treatie
Thankyouverymuch
And that was John Betjeman everyone, thank you and remember to tip your waitresses!
sings Encase your legs in nylons,
Bestride your hills with pylons
O age without a soul;
Away with gentle willows
And all the elmy billows
That through your valleys roll.
But on a serious note, where's your strophe, antistrophe and your epode? Really! Kids these days!

So do I, that's why if I ever cook with friends I always insist on cooking…. mwahahaha and then when we're all full, satisfied and tired I say "Get with the dishes!"
