Report on the Women Writing Rape Symposium
This is just a note to let you know that a report on the symposium is now available to read on Literature Compass Blog at this link: http://literaturecompass.wordpress.com/2007/05/24/women-writing-rape-literary-and-theoretical-narratives-of-sexual-violence/

What do you think of this programme?

I have to say that I found it quite extraordinary that the BBC would chose to portray rape in a ‘humorous’ radio programme; it appears to both trivialise the crime of rape and the issue of consent.

I was raped not only by my ex-husband but the the courts in cheyenne wy. My ex-husbands current wife works in the districts attorneys office so there was no way i was going to get justice from the courts.
we need to unite togthter and fight for our rights.

Nick, thanks for bringing this programme to our attention – it is rather close to the bone. Carmen, I am so sorry that this happened to you. There is a list of links to support groups at this link: http://www.google.com/Top/Society/Support_Groups/Rape/ There are discussion groups attached to these websites so I hope that these might be of help.
