Alice in Wonderland, 1903.
In anticipation of the Tim Burton adaptation, here is what must have been the first Alice film.

I’m not sure about the new film as I’ve seen it advertised as “containing moderate fantasy violence.” I’m not sure about “A Single Man” now, either after seeing a preview it looks rather scarey. I’m a bit wary of films that have a pervading sense of forbodeing about them.

I would definitely recommend going to see ‘A Single Man’, I saw it the other day and it was not as violent and scary as the trailer makes it appear at all. Colin Firth is fantastic in it. Obviously, I can’t say anything about Alice yet but I imagine they will be making enough revenue with or without your ticket! I plan to see it purely because I am a Tim Burton fan.
I love the artfulness of this video and I doubt that Tim will be able to surpass it!

In that case I’ll give it a go.

My partner didn’t want to go and see it because he said it’s about someone who’s suicidal and it would be depressing. I was inclined to agree with him so I gave it a miss. Just to keep you updated!
