I have been writing online blogs for 7 years. I love to share things happened around me and my thoughts with my friends. I have all sorts of weird thoughts in my mind and I can't really express myself well through my speaking but better in my blogs. So, I feel very comfortable to express my ideas online.
When I know I need to write blogs for my modules, the first thing came to my mind is English. I used to write blogs in Chinese. I think I will express myself much better in my mother language. I think it would be a big challenge for me to express my thinking in English. But I am pleased to do that. This is because one of my reason to come to the UK is to improve my English. I think English, as an international language, is extremely important for me, especially when I am seeking for my job. I have come here for a week already. I found that there is much to improve in my English skills. Writing blogs surely will help me in this aspect.
On the other hand, I start to think about the purpose of writing blogs. Guidelines from Paul is that blogs should include the things you have learned everyday, the importance of the knowledge you gained and the application. I start to reflect on the blogs I wrote. I used to write down the things happen around me so as to refresh my memory about my thoughts and feelings towards the incidents. Sometimes, I would actually write down what exactly I am thinking about some issues. I did think I can learn from my blogs like this but I did not actually write down how it is important and how to apply my experience in the future. This guideline is interesting and new for me. I start to believe that this is a new way to learn from my blogs.
I hope I could write reflective blogs in this new writing style and I hope my blogs would become a useful learning resources for me and the readers.
