Learning organization is the one that puts into practice organizational learning. That is to say it will motivate people to learn through their actions and transmit that knowledge. So organizational learning is involvement and continuous improvement for the people, and as a result for the organization.
According to Argyris (1978) in order to develop the organizational learning theory you must allow assumptions be shared through the organization……Also, according to Cyert and March (1963), OL is adaptation of goals attention and search rules to the organization in order to learn from experience.
Also we can develop OL through the EFQM model. This is because the model as a feedback from the results has innovation and Learning which process is correlated with each of the 9 components.
According to Deming, managers must reduce external motivations to people, for example bonuses and gifts. Only in that way employees will work because they love their job. Empowered by internal motives. Also, in that way employees see their work as a contribution to the organization and want to be improved.
The EFQM model is based on self-assessment philosophy. Letting people being self-assessed will provide motivation. It will empower them because they will feel that they control their actions and free to take initiatives. Also EFQM model has a dynamic approach. It links all the 9 components. So by letting people get involved with processes or results will motivate them too through empowerment.
