Still on my mind

What’s your favourite song in all His Majesty’s musical composition?

Mine is “Still on my mind” or ในดวงใจนิรันดร์

For several reasons… to name a few…

The song speaks for my heart, that’s one… :)
The melody is perfect, that’s one…
The language is beautiful, needless to say that His Majesty was the One who composed the original lyrics in English Himself…
And the translation by Prof. Dr. Prasert (whom I dearly admire)
is just superb…

Just wanna share this with you
This is for someone
who is and will be ever, and ever
still on my mind

Music Score and Lyrics
by H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej

I can’t get you off my mind,
However I try,
The flame kindled in my heart,
Keeps burning high…

Though time has the power to quell,
It really cannot dispel,
The magic touch of your hand
So gentle in mine…

When night’s curtain starts to fall,
And light fades away,
My thoughts fly back to that day
You were so near…

This song will never end…
And time we cannot suspend,
You’ll be ever, and ever

Still on my mind
