Assessed essay – Ways in which the workshop helped regarding the essay.

Follow-up to Workshop from Vasiliki's blog

Yesterday I received my 2500 word essay back and I was really pleased with the mark I got.

The workshop helped me a lot regarding this essay. First of all, as discussed previously, I was confused once I first got the title of the essay. However, when I divided it into pieces I managed to produce a good piece of work. I had firstly researched the topic a lot and then came up with my own views, being able to support any statement mentioned in the essay.

The notes I made were quite clear, specyfing the main points and indicating important information such as: the title of the book, the publisher, the place of pubblication, the author etc. and thus it was easier for me to write the essay. All the information was printed and I could clearly see which pieces were relavant or not to my essay.

My quotations were correct and the way I referenced them and the use of footnotes, was correct as well. In addition, the feedback I got stated that my bibliography was really good and this is another aspect the workshop helped me with, referencing.

My writing skills have been improved and now I am more confident in writing essays.
