Hi, this is my first blog ever!
I'm home right now on a week's break as I finished my exams only on the 15th of June. They were alright (results on Friday! ). I start work on Monday, the 26th of June, so I haven't made any progress with my summer project since the last induction event.
I'm writing mainly to explain my present situation. I also applied to the Nuffield Undergraduate Bursary Scheme and got a reply recently saying they are funding my project. Since I can't be on both the Nuffield and the URSS Schemes, I have been switched to Nuffield. The department took this decision as Nuffield is an external organisation and my URSS place can be filled by someone else from our University.
After attending the last induction event, I am keen on being a part of the URSS programme, the blogging, ePortfolios, Warwick Skills certificate and even the poster presentation and final report as I think they will be a good learning experience. My supervisor said I can still blog (which I clearly can or I wouldn't have been able to write this), but will I have access to everything else the URSS offers? I will still come to the induction event today to discuss this.
It will be really nice to still be a part of this team.

Yes that's great, we still want you around. Actually this really helps us, because we're planning on making URSS a sort of umbrella for various funding programmes. Bring a friend – the more the merrier. We'd need to work out which bits you want to be part of and which bits not – like the final submission report and the exhibition.

I would certainly like to do the final report and the poster presentation. (Nuffield requires me to do a report anyway) I'm not entirely sure about the oral presentation yet. When should I confirm by?
