Carol Service
Writing about My First Blog Entry from Alex's Worst Blog Ever.
Since my brain hasn't given up on me even though my eyes started crying spontaneously 6 hours ago and never stopped, I thought I might as well plug the students' Carol Service. Tonight (Thursday that is) at 7pm at Coventry cathedral, free entry, good student atmosphere, obviously lots of carol singing, and you get to see Revelation perform! As Alex said, the best society ever! All depending on what you want from a society however. But seriously if you have any positive feelings towards Christmas please come you'll love it! [Note to self: stop using exclamation marks] Oh and there's a social in the Litten Tree afterwards - how more exciting can it get? So see you tonight! [Aargh] I'll be the one with the droopy sleep-deprived eyes.

Not sure if that one will be sung, but if you really like carols I'd suggest you come to Westwood's Christams service as well. 19 December if you're still around.

I pretty much only like silent night. I'm not very religious or good at singing.

Don't need to be good at singing (classic recruitment phrase for Revelation) everyone's welcome. Also don't need to be religious – lots of people go to Christmas services just coz it's Christmas. Not religious myself either, actually, but well. If you're also not too keen on sitting in a huge hall with 300 people listening to a sermon on how life is, then it might actually be an interesting challenge!

Ha ha. Its almost like they pay you to sell it.

Even though I'm not sure what I'm selling that did make me laugh. I just want people to know about Revelation (the Rock-Gospel choir, not the book) as I enjoy it so much myself. (Not that the Carol Service is about Revelation but still) Since my friend thought I was a sane person he did visit 2 of our concerts and joined me to a concert of another Revelation choir. After that he never wanted to hear any more Revelation songs ever again and sadly turned mad…

Thanks for the comments by the way. I noticed you are a notorious poster and my blog felt empty without any reply coming from you. Try and make it to the service I'd say. They might serve tea and biscuits afterwards!

I figured it would be more tea and biscuits than Vodka and hookers.

Those can be found/encountered in the Litten Tree – hence the social afterwards! Probably won't be free though. Neither will be provided by the organisers of the service either. But hey at least the option is available!

Just commenting the day after:
1. can be in the previous post should be might be for the hookers. I have no reason to believe the Litten Tree accomodates them.
2. Nevertheless, we went to Browns afterwards as it had free entree and good food – really nice food I may add and a very stylish though friendly atmosphere. Might bring my visitors here next time instead of Wetherspoons.
3. Service was great. Rev's 2 songs went great. Mince pies were delicious (no biscuits – sorry bout that!). Social afterwards was great. All in all enough reason to go next year!
