So, what happened in the end?

Right, so you're being all good, doing your music practice and your instrument decides to break. Fair enough, it's not like you've already paid enough for the instrument itself, all the accessories, the lessons, the insurance... but okay, go and attempt to get it fixed.
Nobody knows how to fix it.
What?! You are meant to be a viola REPAIRER. R. E. P. A. I. R. E. R.
Apparently I have pegs that aren't seen very often, they're not the usual friction relying ones, they're geared, called 'Caspari'. Okay, so can I buy a new peg?
No.
Okay, a whole new set of 'Caspari' pegs?
No.
I have to buy a new set of friction based pegs?
Yes.
And get the hole the Caspari peg left filled in and re-drilled, at a high chance the instrument will break?
Yes.
It's times like this I wish I did a pastime that was simple. Like gardening. Or dog walking.
I'm debating the point of personal blogs. (Or bogs, as I just typed.) I understand if you use them to debate worldly issues and philosophical thoughts, but come on, I'm a maths physicist, it's not like I'm going to have anything interesting to say! ;) However, going along that line of thought, I'm assuming nobody will read this and therefore it won't matter. Sorted.
That was random, sorry. Maybe I should have had a little talk about personal bogs, that may have been more interesting. Si?
Oooo, highly amused by the groups you automatically get added to. (Yes, I have only just found them, have pity on me, I'm an eejit.)
Right, time for Good Friday egg and chips. Yes, I am a Catholic. Bite me.
Soon a ton load of freshers will be descending on the peacful campus of Warwick, timidly feeling their way around, out to the social events of Freshers Fortnight, and raucously rolling home again. Not that we know where home is yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. Honest. Meanwhile I've discovered the delights of my.warwick. Namely, the fact that I have a new email address, wow...
Anyhow, back to work, and trying to find a proxy server that does actually let you access Facebook so I can change my network...
