This is where it gets interesting….

Well, here I am, sitting at home, waiting to go back to uni. Its been a long, long summer, made even longer by the fact i seem to have been working hard at Halfords but not making any kind of dent in my overdraft?! Damnit!

Today went to the good old Hobin Rood for a wonderful bbq! Ended up sitting in the "beer garden" with not a lot to do, so decided to make fun for ourselves. The activities we came up with included throwing stones into a bucket, and playing football using the two wooden 2×4s and a piece of old drainpipe as a goal. Chris tipped the ball over the wall and it took us over half an hour to persuade him to go get it past the Britool security guard and "guard dogs" but he did eventually. I then idiotically punched the ball over the wall, and proceeded to immediatly leap over the fence to retrieve it, dodging the security guard reading his newspaper, only to realise that where the ball had gone over was not accessible from my current location, forcing me to leap back over the fence to the jeers of the locals! At least i can laugh about it, especially cuz i went round the correct wall eventually and retrieved the ball!

Damn im gonna miss the robin hood when im at uni! Hope to find a local which is almost as good in Leamington!

My Birthday!!!

Well, i know I haven't updated my blog for a while, but, lets be honest, I'm a lazy f*cker most of the time!!

Last week was my birthday, and on Saturday I decided to invite everyone down from uni to descend upon my house and local! After emailing people directions to my house from every corner of britain (which must hav been great cuz nobody got lost!), I awoke on Saturday full of excitement!!!

Most people arrived mid to late afternoon, while the bbq in my back garden was in full flow as the weather just about held out! The drink flowed freely, and we even managed to get Divot to fail in his diet (which I was assured was a high/low carb diet, depending on what food was in front of him!)

After a couple of hours of drinking on most peoples part (more like 7 on mine and my mates from home who had been drinking since 12) and a box full of my sisters punch (cheers amy, although I'm still trying to figure out the exact recipe) we decided it was time to head down to the Robin Hood for karaoke and more drinking!

It was a superb night! One I will certainly not forget!! Not only for the incredible amount of fun it was to have most of my uni mates in my local singing karaoke, but also because I got absolutely hammered, and shortly after downing my customary birthday mucky pint managed to throw up all over Will and onto Abs shoes!!! sorry guys, it was my birthday and I feel that this is an adequate excuse for representing Cardinal Chunder!!

Anyway, after that can't really remember much, only going home in Dave's car and then lying on my sofa, with Dan slapping me to try n wake me up so the party could continue, unfortunately to no avail!!!

Next thing i remember is throwing up in the middle of the night, then returning to my room only to hear Little Tom, who was asleep at t' foot of our stair, shout up "Walk it off big man!". I dunno, random memory!

Next morning I was a little delicate to say the least, but managed to advance downstairs to discuss the evenings events. My parents (bless em) were absolute legends as usual in the dishing out of sorely needed tea, coffee, and toast, which I can assure them went down extremely well!!

After a few hours of me generally moping about clutching my stomach, everyone remembered they had a long drive/train journey ahead of them and thought it would be best to get on their way!

Thanks to everyone for coming, my mates from home and uni alike, it was certainly a weekend not easily forgotten!

Moment of the weekend has to go to Jake, who, unknown to most people present upon returning to my house after the pub, decided to enter my parents room, not realising they were in bed! He was looking for Steve, who had gone walkabout, Crocodile Dundee style. Upon realising that he was in my parents room, announced "Oh…. the parents… hello!! Rest assured, you won't be disturbed again!". Classic Jake!!

Photos of the weekend should be up in the birthday gallery!!!

Looking forward to gettin bak to uni in a few weeks, can't wait!!!

Now….. wheres that essay I'm supposed to be writing…...

Day of Rugby Number 1

So…. Saturday saw the start of the six nations!

Started drinking at around 12, stopped at about 12, ie 12 hours of drinking!

Was great!

Highlights included Abi "falling" off her chair, Jades super long drinking straw and standing up for the national anthem, then being completely outsung by the welsh contingent (thats not the only thing they did better than us on Saturday but we wont go into that!)

Anyway, off to watch the superbowl, hope england do better next week!

ITS SUPERBOWL TIME!

Ahhh, poker…...

So, last night finally got around to using the poker set I had purch-aced (hehe). After teaching the few others I would be playing against to play the game, apart from gadsby who appears to have a reasonably good knowledge of the game, we commenced!

Danni, probably the least experienced of us, was the first out (sorry chuck) but we'll put that one down to inexperience! And also maybe the fact Joey "the most over confident so confident shes obviously not bluffing or is she never mind I've won the pot poker player" Seager was helping her!

Jake stayed in there for a while, with his sunglasses, hat and scarf to preserve not only his poker face but his whole poker appearance. Unfortunately mine and Gadsbys skill saw through his sunglasses to his eyes, the route to any mans soul! He was next out.

Then it was me and Gadsby, and after a few hands got bored of the one-on-one due to the lack of money involved so Gadsby conceded as I had more chips by quite a long way.

All in all a good night, would have better if there was money involved!

Oh well, time for a curry and a pint in Leam, if i ever finish my maths work!!!!

Ok, just to put you scum supporters straight…...

Follow-up to I hate Man United SCUM!!!! from never judge a blog by its name.....

There have been some strange comments on my last entry about the Man Utd vs Arsenal game, someone even suggesting that Man Utd were a more successful team than Liverpool. Just to put them straight, here are the FACTS…..

League Champions
Liverpool – 18 times
Manchester United – 15 times

Second Division Champions
Liverpool – 4 times
Manchester United – 2 times

FA Cup Winners
Liverpool – 6 times
Manchester United – 10 times

League Cup Winners
Liverpool – 6 times
Manchester United – 1 time

Charity Shield Winners
Liverpool – 14 times
Manchester United – 11 times

European Cup Winners
Liverpool – 4 times
Manchester United – 3 times

UEFA Cup Winners
Liverpool – 3 times
Manchester United – Never won it

European Super Cup Winners
Liverpool – 2 times
Manchester United – 1 time

So sorry guys, the only competition you've won more times than us is the FA cup, and total honours is 57 – 43 in our favour, so even if you have been the better side in recent years, you've got a long way to go to catch us up.

Don't even bother posting any more comments about this, I'm writing on this blog to record my time at university, not to prove that Man Utd arent as all conquering as their fans (who don't seem to know anything about football) make out.

I hate Man United SCUM!!!!

Ok, so I'm a Liverpool fan, but went to watch the Man U vs Arsenal match last nite, and to be quite honest i was disgusted!

Man U are the flukiest, most petulant team ever!

Anyway, Liverpool won away at Charlton so was pleased.

Apart from that, havent been up to much really, went to the gym thats about how interesting my life is these days…...

Catch ya later..

Mohican Banana

Well, last night was interesting…..

A few nights ago, whilst discussing the length of my hair, me and Will (drunk at the time) decided it would be a great idea to let my hair grow and then shave it into a mohican. I agreed, provided that it was only for one night, and that i could shave it off the next morning…..

….. so i did.

Here is the shot of my hair before the chop. I look rather Bigfoot, though i say so myself…..

and here are a few photos of me whilst i was out at Top Banana that night, official "model" photos to come…..

It was amazing seeing different peoples reactions to the shark fin which had suddenly appeared on my head. Whereas some people, upon seeing the fashion benchmark, immediately exclaimed "Whoa ur hair looks so cool!", others would shout "What the fuck have you done to your hair??".

Either way, it was fun…..

So let me know wot u think of my one night exclusive hairstyle, should I create it again once my hair has grown back, or should i never trust Will with a pair of clippers again…. ever!

By the way Will, cheers mate you did a great job, ur hair next….

…. oh yeh, i remember you saying you thought monk hair styles were gonna be in this year…..

Chinese Chill Out

Well, yesterday got a lot better once 5 o'clock came and went. Me and some mates (Gadsby, Pidge, Max, Gem and Freddie) decided to go for all you can eat chinese in Leam, and at only £8.50 for an unlimited amount of food, you might say its as cheap as chicken chow mein.

After a dissapointing trip to the bus stop, only to find we'd missed a bus by 2 mins and the next one wasnt for half an hour, it was decided mainly by pidge, who was, and is always hungry (a girl after my own heart) that we should get a taxi.

A short trip later and we were enjoying the delights of too much food. We saw a young version of David Bowie, who, much to Max's disgust, apparently had better hair than Max.

Also we discovered that eating ice cream is a delicate art mastered by none other than miss sanders herself, and freddy discovered a new beverage involving ice cream and water, which was surprisingly good.

I don't mean to brag but i think i ate the most.

Anyway, soon after we were waddling to the bus stop, clutching our stomachs in satisfaction and mild discomfort. We wanted to get back to the graduate for Jakes inaugural acoustic session, and to support Max, who was still playing despite his broken guitar.

We all piled into the graduate in dribs n drabs, taking up most of the pub, and chatted through the stand up we couldnt see and the guy with the whistle type instrument.

Soon the time came for Jake's performance. Having been one of the few people there who hadn't heard his impromtue practising throughout rootes residences (more by luck than judgement, and i had been informed by some that it was extremely lucky) i was intrigued to see what kind of musician I would be sharing a house with next year.

The walls in my house next year are probably quite thin, so I was relieved to hear that Jake was actually a good singer. Not only was he a good singer, he was an absolutely awesome one! I was amazed! I still can't get over how good his 15 mins actually was. I am now looking forward to living with such a talented musician next year, not that I wasnt before mind you!

Max also played on his broken guitar, and still sounded superb as ever! I have now secured my place as his number one fan (yeah take that Will).

Anyway, I really enjoyed last night, it was nice to go out and have a laugh over a quiet drink for a change.

Another thing that i feel i should mention is mine and TomToms superb idea for a new type of music. Look out for the Barbershop Orchestra playing in a graduate near you soon.

Splendid! This calls for a sexy party!

Oh the glory of sundays!

well. i'm sitting here in my room, extremely bored. I've got nothing to do, (well thats a lie, theres plenty of work i could be doing, but i think someone once said that sunday should be a day for resting?) so thought id blog.

Then i thought to myself "whats the point in blogging when I've got nothing interesting to blog about?"

So i stopped.
