Clothes swap….for men!

Writing about web page /caseyleaver/entry/clothes_swap_party/

Writing about an entry you don't have permission to view

I was thinking we men should have our own versions of Casey's Clothes swap.

Then I realised it wouldn't be much fun swapping 30 identical pairs of blue jeans, 30 plain t–tshirts, 30 vaguely similar pairs of trainers and/or regulation black shoes.

Oh, and don't forget the standard issue white shirts and dull ties.

Hurrumph.

Going Green

Interesting discussion on Radio 5 this morning about how easy it is to live a green life, and to what extent the Govt is supporting people to make these choices. One chap was doing well with me until he announced he was about to depart on a Yoga holiday – ugh! I guess this is where much of the green lobby falls down – as the tories get stereotyped with the blue rinse brigade, so the greens end up as yoga loving veggies – horrid.

Anyway, at least the discussion got me thinking about my carbon score – probably not good.

Plus side:
Don't go to the supermarket
Buy as much locally as I can – and seasonally too – try and ensure shortest possible distance from field to plate
Recycle and compost stuff
New boiler in the house
Don't leave things on standby

Negative side:
Long drive to work
No double glazing at home
Could do a lot more recycling/waste management at home

Things I would like to do if I had the cash or will (come on Brown/Cameron etal – let's make this cheaper and we might do it!)
Get a more eco–friendly car
Cycle to work (need to convince Steph about this – see earlier posts on crash!)
Install solar panels/wind turbine at home
