Scary moments
On the way home last night whilst driving through Stratford I spotted a guy in full clown costume (green curly wig, red foam nose and big floppy shoes – the full works) coming out of the Gun Shop!
Apart from the Quick Change flashback I had to wonder what psychometric tests we have in place for monitoring the sanity of either gun purchasers or gun shop owners.
I will have to check the Herald on Thursday for clown related shootings.
BTW - it did occur to me that what with the collapse of civilisation and all that whether said clown was merely seeking a means of self defence for the next kiddies party – do ya feel lucky punk!
BTW 2 - I also recognise that I live in an area where shooting stuff is taken as a bit of a laugh – those wacky young farmers huh.

Reasons to be cheerful – films for later this year
Writing about web page http://www.disney.co.uk/DisneyMovies/narnia/global/index.html?subSection=init
Two films to get excited about:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – looks fantastic and is apparently a lot darker than the Gene Wilder version.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe – oh joy – Casey pointed me to the website for the new Disney film. I so hope that they get this right and don't sweeten it.
It will be a pleasure to see messers Dahl and Lewis take on that jumped up nobody Potter and kick his insubstantial butt into some generic fiction hell.
Nice to see WETA involved in the narnia project – with Lord of the Rings behind them this should be quite a ride. Lets hope they can get the whole series of books done – including Magicians Nephew, though I have never met anyone else who has read this one.
