PMA – PIUSS
Process Improvement Using Six Sigma has been a highly interesting learning experience during the post module assignment period. Significant lessons have been learnt. Having initially decided to choose question 2 which asked to critique a real six sigma project, there was a significant road block in the form of being able to attain data from organisations. This was realised too late and it caused significant pressure from the time standpoint when having to choose an entirely new question. However, since the start of my time at WMG, there has been a great emphasis on continious learning. One aspect of this was the ability to deal with situations of high pressure, as a result approaching the question on taguchi did not seem to daunting as I focused with a clear thought process.
The question focused on practical as well as theory so using the paper plane experiement as a foundation, the interactivity allowed a much easier way of understanding the methodologies behind Taguchi.
Moving forward, in the PMA's which will be done in future modules, I will ensure that I utilise the feed fowards process much sooner than I did to ensure that I am on the right path.
