Presentation 4 (of 4)!

Nice work guys, presentation went as well as i hoped!
I think we acquitted ourselves very well – nice job imran and rich for answering the follow-up questions!

Minutes – Second Half CLSP

Meeting 1 Friday Week 10
Members Present: ALL
Meeting was held, every group member put forward their suggestions on what the 2 scenarios should be:

– A vote was taken and a shortlist of scenarios was made
– A list of the work that would need to be done was made
– Each team member was allocated sections of work to do
– Emails were sent later on that day to confirm what exactly every one was doing, and stating the deadlines for each of the areas of work

Adhoc "Meetings"

– Email correspondance was kept troughout the holidays, everyone meeting the deadlines they were previously set
– By the end of the holiday most of the work had been compiled

Meeting 2 Wednesday Week 11
Members Present: FIVE (-ONE due to Holiday)
Meeting was set up, to which all team members but one were present, all the work done over the holiday was assesed here

– Talked on what was to be included in the presentation, and which details were to be deferred to the report
– Further deadlines were set for work that had not yet been completed

Meeting 3 Thursday Week 11
Members Present: ALL
Another meeting was set up, here the powerpoint presentation was put together and more deadlines set, to fill in all the information pockets in the presentation

– Layout of the powerpoint presentation was drawn up, with average timings of the sections
– Members were allocated certain parts of the presentation to talk on
– Holiday work was being compiled to give a full report
– Work set overnight, to finalise the powerpoint slides for individual part of the presentation

Meeting 4 Friday Week 11
Members Present: ALL
Final deadline for powerpoint presentation and report, meeting was set up for all team members to review the presentation and the report.

– First run-through of the presentation as a whole, the conclusions were then shaped around the time constraints and the points raised in the presentation
– Everyone was given another job to have ready for the meeting on Saturday, either to compile / format the report, or compile / format the powerpoint presentation

Meeting 5 Saturday Week 11
Memebers Present: ALL
Final drafts of presentation and report were presented, and extra handouts also presented.

– Cutting of certain parts of the presentation due to time constraits, streamlining of the presentation as a whole and making sure that there was a clear flow throughout
– Run-through of the presentation three times to make sure everyone knew their queues and when to progress to the next slide

Meeting 6 Sunday Week 11
Members Present: ALL
Numerous run throughs of the presentation

– Report compiled and formatted finally
– Addition of the very last slide of the presentation to chart the thought process we undertood to reach our conclusions
– Consideration of questions we could be asked, and possible responses were discussed
– Final preparations made for Monday morning

Minutes– PSLP & CLSP

PSLP- stage one

Monday Week 3
-Emails were sent out to each member of team apex regarding what polymer they were to concentrate on.
-Meeting set up the following friday and everybody reported their findings.
-Four polymers were decided upon.
-Each polymer was assigned to one person.
-One person assigned with researching propertis needed in aviation.
-One person assigned with canceling out polymers not chosen for a reason.
-Meeting set up to present the findings.

Thursday Week 3
-Final polymer was decided upon.
-As a group we created the powerpoint presentation and the report.

Tuesday week 4
-First presentation was made.
– Next meeting set up, everyone is to have read material by then.

PSLP- Stage two

Thursday Week 4
-Within the meeting everybody wrote what they understood we were to do and later thoughts were shared with the group, from that a plan was devised.
-Two people allocated to research each polymer.
-Each team member alocated a marketing point to research
-Meeting set up for feedback.

Thursday Week 5
-All information was collected and distributed to each team member.
-A plan for the writing of the report and the presentation devised.
-Each team member was allocated a section of the report and presentation to write up.
-Information was emailed to all the team members.
-Imran compiled the report.
-Imar compiled the presentation.
-Meeting set up for preview of the report and the presentation, corrections made where all team members did not agree.
-Meeting set up for final preview of report and presentation.

Thursday Week 6
-Dummy run of presentation.
-Critique of each persons presentation.
-Changes made where necessary.
-Each team member instructed to go home, familiarise themselves with the presentation and the report.

Tuesday and Thursday week 7
-Second and third dummy runs of the presentation.

Friday morning Week 7
-Will have final dummy run of the presentation.
-Presentation.
– To have read the CLSP- stage 1 notes by the next meeting.

CLSP- Stage 1

Monday Week 8
-Group meeting.
-Brain-storming session, everyone pitches in with their thoughts and analysis of the work.
– Team splits the work as follows:
1) Two member of the team address each of the main technologies : Electrolysis and Ozonation.
2)The other technologies are tackled by the remaining members of the group.
3) In addition each member is given an additional topic to cover. Weighter topics are covered by members with lower workloads / less deadlines. The group is flexible like this, and this is reciporical.
-Next meeting friday, preliminary reports and presentation expected by then.

Tuesday Week 9
– Other course deadlines are disruptive but team meet up and discuss findings.
-Dummy run of presentation.
– Debate content of reports and presentation.
-Week to finalise individual reports.
-Monday evening meeting set up, as that is the only available time for all the team.

Monday evening Week 10
-Individual reports collated and final report done.
-Presentation altered to fit time limit.
-Dummy run of presentation.

Tuesday morning Week 10
– Presentation.
-Feedback.
– Meeting time set up for friday. Expected to analyse CSLP- stage two and bring defined plans for the meeting.

Team Apex – Working Blog

ok guys, ive added you all (hopefully) to the administrators list for the blog, so any of you can manage and edit the blog, you'll have to sign in first using your warwick username – if this does NOT work, let me know and i'll see if i can sort it out!

hopefully now we can post all of the information on here, such as versions of the report and presentation, and then we can all access and add to it from anywhere…
