1. In the first term at Warwick, I had the experience of writing essay-the real essay, 2000 words. At first I thought it wasn’t very hard because all the things I have to do is to write down what I think about the topic, but it didn’t that easy as it looks like. “The academic way” is the most difficult thing for me to get through because I haven’t written any thing just like this before, which has a very high level among all kinds of writings. How to choose the right academic words, use the appropriate tone make me hard to write any word sometimes and that even can let me forget what I was going to write down. In addition, finishing one topic in certain words in not easy to handle so plan the essay is a very important thing to do before start the paragraph. If I could go back I would use fewer words to explain one topic so that I can write three changes.

   I have learned two things in my first experience of writing essay. First, prepare the essay as early as you can so that you could have enough time to read and think and find out more thoughts to support your essay. Second, plan the essay as much as you can before start the draft. Because once you begin to write the whole structure and key point is hard to change. So from my experience, don’t write in hurry until all the work for preparation is done. It doesn’t matter that you write the outline again and again.

   I agree with you that the more time you spend on your essay the better it will be. Planning and drafting are very important as are reading and thinking. Well done for managing to write the 2000 words. I hope next time you start good and early!
