Nominations for elections for Union Councillors, NUS delegates and Postgraduate faculty reps close at noon tomorrow. If you are interested get your nomination ASAP. To do it visit the Democratic Services Office in Union North.
Union Council is a bit like the parliament of the Students’ Union. The councillors you elect in week 2 (beginning 3rd October) have the opportunity to set out and decide Union policy and although they will not be responsible for the Unions’ commercial services they have a real influence on the way Union is run. It is also here that Union Officers can be held to account. NUS conference delegates represent Warwick at various conferences throughout the year.
Anyone can stand to become a councillor for his or her faculty or to be a delegate to NUS conference. To stand and find out more detail about any of the positions visit www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/voting. If you want more information then contact firstname.lastname@example.org or stick a comment on the end of here.
The polls will be open from Monday – Wednesday in Week 2 (3rd-5th October) online at www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/voting or you can visit the polling stations at societies fair.

The Students' Union will be using this blog to help communicate with those in the blog world. It will be up and running properly in the next week, but I just thought it would be a good idea to get it started now.
If you have comments or feedback about the Union we are always happy to hear them, it is surprising how many people just bottle things up and don't say anything, and that's how things that could easily be improved get missed. Just stick a comment on the bottom of here or email email@example.com.
