OK, so it wasn't all bad, in fact the sun shone in Cornwall pretty much all week (more on that soon). But the story of the week was the car breaking down on Tuesday. It's a long story, but the outcome is this: suspected fuel pump failure, £700 plus labour, so I'm looking at ITRO
£1200, just after paying out over £500 for a new cambelt, service, brakes and MOT
just before we went away. My Dad has kindly lent us his car for the week, but cheesed off doesn't even begin to describe it. AND I
have to get it towed to the dealers – what happened to garages having tow trucks? Thanks to the guys at Motortech in Looe for looking after it and running a diagnostic, and the AA for getting me/it home.
