Leadership

This last two weeks taught me a lot about leadership that I didnt know. I learnt that leadership sometimes means stepping back and allowing people that have the right skills do the job. I experienced this on the last task where I found that I had no skills required for the task and my teammates did, so I allowed them to use their skills and knowledge and I supported them how I could. Before this two weeks of leadership, I wouldn’t have done this because I always believed a leader should have the skills and try to take charge even though they didn’t have a clue what was going on. I am happy I have a new perception of leadership, and I am so glad I know now that leadership is about how you lead your team and exploit their skills not just about what you as a leader knows!
