So, it won't be as beautifully written as the one that got deleted when the page decided to close itself.
But interesting stuff I did a couple of weeks ago:
Unexpectedly got to go to the HMV digital launch in Leicester Square. There was a red carpet'n'all! I wouldn't recommend drinking at lunchtime when you work though, but when people have ready poured wine, you feel guilty not having a glass on your somewhat empty stomach. The delicately tiny nibbles aren't quite enough by the time they go round the whole room!
I thought it was going to be another boring industry launch but oh no, not HMV! I met Steve Knott (HMV Europe MD and former NME Editor), Head of PR for HMV, brushed past Roger Daltrey of The Who, got to watch an unexpected short Razorlight set (and having missed them several times over the past two years, it was nice to finally see them…from the front…without getting squashed…for free) AND got my picture taken with McFly for a little snapshot in the mag. A lunchtime of adventure.
A couple of weeks after that, I went to another thing that noone wanted to go to. An event put on by Tiscali. I thought I was going to see a Suffrajets showcase, which didn't exactly fill me with glee, but turns out it was a screening of loads of backstage sessions done by awesome bands for Tiscali at Reading. Covent Garden screening rooms are very nice and comfy and the nibbles were nice too. I was good though and drank water.
