Curry and Beer in Brum

On Saturday 4th Feb, Beer Drinking Brass Playing Physicists and friends went on a trip of a lifetime to Birmingham for a posh curry and some luvly real ale…
We descended on Blue Mango curry house like vultures to road kill. (And got the same sort of disapproving looks due to our shabby student dress). I personally had a great curry (Karahi Chicken) (£7.95) and half rice half nan (£2.66 (1/2 £5.15)) which was expensive but well worth it… Beer however was over priced £4.95 for a large cobra so I opted for the more reasonably priced (but still dam expensive) pint of Bud at £3.20.
After curry the group marched to the Wellington pub where we tried to sample all the beers available (10 guests on tap) and thought we had managed it until we realised that some of the beers we had tried had run out and had been replaced by new different beers yet to be sampled.
We caught the last train back to Coventry and then went round some more pubs until we were all very very drunk…
