Writing about web page http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/portal/ents/Default.asp?url=event&event_id=826Last reminder from me about the blog social tomorrow. Coupled with a warning: spurred on by not-unfounded rumours of a certain "musician" appearing with his new side-project band, the Union Portal site states "Tickets for this Friday's Crash feat. Fightstar are selling very fast. Get one while you still can.
An unabridged transcript of an MSN conversation I had earlier this evening with an old friend from school.

Ladies and Gnetlesmen, and the rest of you, I hereby present you with a tale of freedom and truth, of beauty and love, of becoming an Arts student.
For too long, I have suffered with an engineer's workload. Years 1, 2 and 3 I was running on overload the whole time (my own fault with societies etc. – thoroughly worth it). Last term was crazy, but now it's payback time. I now have three lectures a week, none of which involve numbers or engineering, and it's great.
I may start posting complaints about having to be on campus before 11:00 twice a week, or the fact that I have three extra hour-long seminars this term in which I'll have to watch a video. Perhaps I'll get really bitter that my longest day is a whole two hours long. In my next life I'm going to do an undergrad Arts degree.
- I don't do anywhere near enough reading/other work outside lectures. I don't think this makes me unique as an arts student, but does mean I deserve no sympathy later on this term when I'm moaning about deadlines.
- I'm still not a proper Arts student because I don't get to spend Week 6
lying in bedreading.
- I love Arts students: don't be offended, you rock.
- At least 40 hours a week will still be spent on my MEng group project, but that's fun so I barely count it.
