Being here has made me a good cook. Well, not that good but better than before. As I like to eat, I have to cook the food by myself to cut short the cost.
I've tried some new recipes (recipes that I haven't tried before when I was back in my hometown) including:
1) Yorkshire puddings (from Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food)
2) Roasted lamb with black pepper sauce (the lambs are underneath the sauce!) - also from the same book
3) Chocolate Fudge Moist Cake (it was my father's birthday cake) - also from Jamie's
I also tried to cook local delicacies (my local - Malaysian), like Roti Jala (trans. Net Pancake, using batter and cooked by special mould / tool to create the net shape), Tomato Sauce Chicken Curry (coconut milk is replaced by tomato sauce), chicken satay (well it was not the real satay but they use skewers!) and lots more. I hope to try more recipes soon and shall post the results here.
